Earwigs
Identifying Earwigs:
Earwigs are easy to spot because of their unique anatomy. In size, they range from 5-25 mm in size (0.19-0.98 in). Males have a curved pincer whereas females have straight pincers. These creatures have a set of opaque wings folded under short forewings.
Earwigs are nocturnal insects and spend most of their time in our gardens and low areas. Although, they have wings earwigs rarely fly and spend their time on the ground mostly. On a good note, they are not dangerous or poisonous to humans.
Signs of infestation:
The reason Earwigs would enter your home is because of a change in weather or in order to find food. The habitat of an Earwig is a small moist crevice so if there was an infestation in your home it is most likely to occur in your basement, attic, bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere where there is water.
